Privacy policy and terms of use
Last updated: 28 July 2026
This page explains what information barilocheapart.com collects, what we use it for, who else can see it, and how to ask us to delete it. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
01Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Alcar S.R.L., the company that operates Bariloche Apart.
- Tax ID (CUIT): 30-71233154-9
- Business address: Av. San Martín 440, San Carlos de Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina
- Contact for anything related to personal data: reservas@barilocheapart.com
02What we collect
What you give us
When you fill in the inquiry form, we receive what you typed:
- First and last name
- Email address and phone number
- Check-in and check-out dates
- Number of adults, children and infants
- Whether you need parking
- The purpose of your trip (tourism, sport, business, medical or other)
There are no hidden fields, and we never ask for card details or identity documents: this site does not take payments.
What your browsing generates
While you use the site, the following is recorded automatically:
- Your IP address, which we turn into an approximate country, region and city. That lookup happens on our own server, using a database installed there, so your IP is never sent to an outside service to be geolocated.
- Your browser language and the page you are viewing.
- How many times you have visited, when you first arrived, and whether you had already sent us an inquiry.
- How long you stayed, how far you scrolled, which sections you opened and how long the form took you.
- If you arrived from an ad, the
utm_sourceandutm_campaignparameters identifying that campaign.
We use this to understand which parts of the site work and which do not. None of it identifies you by name.
An identifier for your browser
The first time you arrive, your browser stores a random code called bab_did (something like 3f9a2c1e-...). It lets us recognize a returning visitor without knowing who that visitor is. It lives in your browser's local storage and is also visible in the address bar, as ?did=....
Worth knowing: if you copy the page address and send it to someone, that code travels inside the link. It reveals nothing about you, but if you would rather it did not travel, delete the part starting with ?did= before sharing.
You can remove it at any time by clearing this site's browsing data.
03What we use it for
- Answering you. Putting together a proposal with the units available for your dates and your group.
- Handling the inquiry until it becomes a booking, or until you decide it will not.
- Getting back in touch and offering you services and options related to what you asked about.
- Improving the site and measuring whether our advertising works.
By submitting the form you consent to us using your data for these purposes. You can withdraw that consent whenever you like, at no cost and without having to explain yourself.
04Your contact details are never sold or shared
What you type into the form — your name, email, phone number and travel details — is never sold, transferred or shared with third parties for them to use on their own account. That information stays with Alcar S.R.L. and is used for the purposes listed in section 03.
We do not buy or sell mailing lists, and we do not pass your details to other properties, agencies or advertisers.
That said, two things do happen that we want to describe precisely, because they are different from sharing your data and deserve an explanation.
Providers acting on our behalf
Inquiries are stored in a file on our own server and, in parallel, in a Google Workspace spreadsheet. Google acts there as an infrastructure provider: it hosts the file on our behalf and is not permitted to use its contents for its own purposes.
WhatsApp, when you choose that channel
After you submit the form, the site takes you to WhatsApp with a pre-written message summarising your inquiry. From that point the conversation happens inside WhatsApp, which belongs to Meta, and is also governed by that platform's policies. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, write to us at reservas@barilocheapart.com and we will continue by email.
05Measurement and advertising: what Google and Meta see
This site uses third-party tools for analytics and advertising. These tools do not receive your name, email or phone number. What they do receive is browsing information: your IP address, which pages you visited and how you moved through them. On that basis, Google and Meta may later show you our ads on their platforms, and they also use that data for their own purposes under their respective policies.
| Service | Purpose | Provider |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Measuring visits and on-site behaviour | |
| Google Tag Manager | Managing the measurement tags | |
| Google Ads | Measuring campaigns and showing you our ads | |
| Meta Pixel | Measuring campaigns and showing you our ads on Facebook and Instagram | Meta |
| Google Fonts | Loading the site's typefaces | |
| Cloudflare (cdnjs) | Loading the animation library | Cloudflare |
Google Fonts and Cloudflare are not advertising tools, but they do receive your IP address every time the page loads, because the files are downloaded from their servers.
06Cookies and browser storage
This site does not show a cookie banner. Instead, here is exactly what gets stored and how to remove it.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Telling one visitor from another | 13 months |
_ga_8S9N7L25MJ | Google Analytics | Keeping session state | 13 months |
_fbp | Meta | Identifying the browser for advertising | 3 months |
bab_did | This site | Recognizing repeat visits (section 02) | Until you clear it |
The first three are cookies; bab_did is kept in local storage, which works similarly but is not sent with every request to the server.
How to turn them off
- Clear cookies and site data from your browser settings. Every browser allows this per site.
- Browse in private or incognito mode, which discards everything when you close the window.
- Install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Adjust personalized advertising in your Google account and in the ad settings on Facebook and Instagram.
If you block them, the site still works. Nothing here depends on you accepting them.
07Where data is kept, and for how long
Inquiries are kept for as long as the relationship makes sense: while your booking is being arranged, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick up the thread if you write again. If you ask us to delete your data, we do, with no waiting period and no conditions.
Some of the services we use — Google and Meta — run servers outside Argentina. This means an international transfer of data to countries whose legislation may differ from Argentine law.
08Your rights
You may ask us at any time to:
- Access: tell you what data of yours we hold.
- Rectify: correct anything that is wrong.
- Update: bring up to date anything that has changed.
- Delete: erase all of it.
- Stop hearing from us: just say so. Argentine law grants this right explicitly where marketing is concerned, and we honour it without asking for reasons.
Write to reservas@barilocheapart.com from the address you contacted us with, or tell us which inquiry was yours so we can find it. There is no charge.
Under Argentine Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326, the data subject is entitled to exercise the right of access free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated, as set out in section 14, paragraph 3 of that law.
The Agency for Access to Public Information (Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública), as the supervisory authority for Law No. 25,326, is empowered to hear complaints and claims brought by those whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.
09Children
The form is meant to be completed by an adult. If you are travelling with children, you will tell us how many there are and their ages, but we do not ask for their names or any other identifying details.
10Security
The site runs entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to stored inquiries is limited to the people who handle bookings. No system is infallible, but we take reasonable technical measures to keep your data from being exposed.
11Terms of use
An inquiry is not a booking
Filling in the form confirms nothing and holds no dates. It starts a conversation. Availability, price and the conditions of your stay are confirmed afterwards, over WhatsApp or by email, and only then is there a booking.
The information on this site
We take care that the photographs, descriptions and details of the units are true to reality. Even so, availability and prices change, and the information published here is not a binding contractual offer until we confirm it in writing.
Content and trademarks
The photographs, text and design of this site belong to Alcar S.R.L. You are welcome to share the links. Reproducing the content for other purposes requires our permission.
The reviews quoted come from Booking.com, where only guests who actually stayed can write them. Third-party trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute falls to the ordinary courts of San Carlos de Bariloche, Province of Río Negro.
12Changes to this page
If we change something, we update the date at the top. When a change genuinely affects how we handle your data, you will see it announced on the site rather than buried down here.
Any questions about what you have read, write to reservas@barilocheapart.com.
